  2. They all sound reasonable to me. Hopefully the top one will be done in time for the upcoming elections.

    1. Why would you bother go to an election booth if you're not going to vote for anyone?

    2. because in the uk, they count non votes as a vote towards the existing goverment

    3. Not so. Only actal votes count in the Uk.

    4. @eggnostriva : so if only actual votes count that means the ones that want to choose "NONE OF THE ABOVE" will just be discarded. And of course, one will win among the contenders. The whole point is to have an option to choose non of them as the winner.

    5. Did ANY of you read the ACTUAL words that were written on the original post???? For chissakes it says "A "None of the Above" option so if THAT option WINS the election is to be re-held with DIFFERENT candidates"!!!! There is a VERY large number of Americans that argue just to argue it is a mental disease and if left untreated you go completely batshit!!!

    6. If you had the first picture, then we would go for lengths of times without a president. So no. These ideas have good intentions but are completely and utterly idiotic.

    7. We have that in India. Its called NOTA (none of the above) and people do vote for NOTA to express their dissatisfaction. Not voting does not show that. Voting is your right to express and one must use it to express his /her feeling. If NOTA wins all candidates are changed

    1. It already exists as far as back to 2000's in Audi S/A - 8 models, and it works brilliantly, Keeps ur car cool in summer at no cost:P

  4. Some of these are actually good ideas. The airline one is excellent and should be easy (enough) to implement. Of course I would prefer there be "quiet" sections and "normal" sections on airplanes. If you get booked for the quiet section but make too much noise, you get bumped to the normal section while someone there can get bumped to the quiet section. Whenever I'm forced to travel by airplane, I just want a peaceful quiet ride. That has only ever happened when I flew first class (pricey).

The solar powered AC is not feasible right now. The solar panels needed to power an AC decent enough to keep the interior cool would be too big to mount to a car without being an eyesore and/or affecting aerodynamics too much.

The "none of the above" for elections would be great but all candidates we get to vote for are on the same team anyway. Only candidates on the same team ever make it to voting in presidential elections. Ever notice no matter what butthole gets in office, it's always the same crap.

The condom idea would be cool but would really freak people out. Probably not doable with current technology.

  7. Perhaps the solar panel could collect enough power to just power some fans that could at least exchange the air in the car.

    1. Already happens, that item has been on sale in Australia for a number of years. It clips over the window glass and draws hot air from the car, solar powered.

  8. Actually, it would make the most sense to give every eligible voter one vote, to be cast either as a positive (for a candidate) or as a negative (against a candidate). As it is now, if you dislike both candidates, but vote for the lesser of two evils, that person will claim you voted for him/her. For a candidate to win, he/she would need a greater positive vote, not just a less negative (i.e., net votes should be greater than zero).

  10. Haha these might be some of the greatest ideas ever. Seriously, how has no one else needed a transparent hole punch! Some of these are just no-brainers, but some are kind of difficult. Mute that microwave now please. Ryan

  11. There was a wiser man who said something along the lines: "if voting could change anything, it would be deemed illegal". As much as I'd like the first one, I don't think it will make any difference. I'd support all of the ideas, though :)
